JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE:
Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Factory Manager oversees and coordinates production value stream ensuring Standard Iron's production methodology. 
This individual will be a strong resource for their employees. This role would require an individual to have a deep understanding of the operations as well as possess the managerial skills, positive attitude, and drive to build and maintain a great working environment for our employees. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned):
• Responsible of overview, coordination and planning of production value stream.
• Align workforce to the correct value stream to meet production goals.
• Manage and motivate production workforce to continually achieve performance goals.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and quality, to ensure that products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
• Maintaining and reporting operational metrics.
• Monitor quality and performance measurements; identify continuous improvement opportunities to streamline factory operations.
• Oversee employee relation issues within department: hiring, reviews, discipline, etc.
• Identify and develop value stream's mentorship team.
• Identify needs for capital requirements.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associate's degree and 3-6 years of related experience; or four years of high school and 6-8 years of progressively responsible related experience; or a combination of education and experience. Welding experience preferred. 
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
REASONING SKILLS:
Social skills with the ability to engage and communication with large audiences. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Proficient in Excel. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
