Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Programming & Optimization: Create, modify, and optimize robotic welding programs using both teach pendants and offline programming software. Adjust paths, weld parameters, and cycle times to ensure maximum efficiency and part consistency.
  • Mechanical Support & Repair: Act as the first line of defense for robotic cell downtime. Perform mechanical repairs and troubleshooting on robotic arms, controllers, and welding peripherals.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Develop and execute routine maintenance schedules for all robotic equipment, including torch maintenance, cable harness inspections, and axis lubrication.
  • Production Support: Assist weld departments with cell setups, fixture adjustments, and part changeovers to ensure seamless transitions between production runs.
  • Weld Quality Oversight: Monitor robotic weld quality and adjust parameters—such as wire feed speed, voltage, and travel speed—to meet Standard Iron’s rigorous quality standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain a critical spare parts inventory to minimize emergency downtime.
  • Training & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and training to robotic operators and technicians on best practices for cell operation and minor troubleshooting.
